Brand New Bomba Estereo Video!
“Elegancia Tropical” is the name of Bomba Estereo‘s 3rd studio album (coming soon) and perhaps one of their last chances to reclaim some of the glory that came with their hit release on Nacional Records in 2009 “Blow Up” which had folks calling them ‘the most important band to come out of Colombia’.
Since those days, Bomba Estereo has been busy touring the world but have yet to hit the same stride that came with the success of “Blow Up” – the lead single off that record,’Fuego‘, is still one of the most played, recognized and celebrated Alter-Latino songs in many years. And even though the success of ‘Fuego’ gave them a taste of cross-over stardom they still haven’t released a song to reach that level of popularity.
Fast-forward to 2012, their new record is on the way and the first track “El Alma y El Cuerpo’ has a new video! Shot on location in Colombia, the video features lead singer Li Saumet lounging in hammocks and on the beach while she sings melancholily over some very laid-back guitars as the song builds up into a chilled out tropical burst. It’s no Fuego – but it’s a cool video!
