Dos Mundos Eats: Ceviche House Inc.
Chef Elias Salazar started cooking when he was 16 years old and hasn’t done anything else since. His passion for cooking is clear but his love for food comes from his Peruvian roots.
After a decade of working in kitchens across the city, Salazar decided to follow his dream and bring a new concept to Toronto, modern Peruvian fusion.
The idea behind Ceviche House Inc. is simple, bring the gastronomic boom behind Peruvian cuisine to Toronto, while educating diners on what Peruvian food and culture is all about.
Although Ceviche House Inc. have not opened their doors yet, Salazar has put together a tasting event to tempt Toronto appetites. The beautiful menu includes a variety of Ceviches (fresh fish marinated in lime) and other delectable dishes that feature classic Peruvian ingredients such as their own Aji Amarillo (yellow chile pepper) and a variety of potatoes (over 1200 kinds are known to exist in Peru!). Traditional dishes with a modern take. Salazar is also providing a selection of Peruvian cocktails to compliment each meal.
Some menu highlights include:
- Lenguado Tiradito (Sashimi Style Ceviche), Avocado, Aji Amarillo Leche de Tigre,
- Aji Panca Lamb Chop, Huancaina Style Risotto
- Seco de Cordero, Frejol Peruano, Salsa Criolla, Lamb Stew, Peruvian Beans, Salsa Criolla
- Yellowtail Tiradito, SunDried Tomato and Yuzu , Peruvian Corn Relish
and many, many more…
