Javier Estrada ~ Ritmos del Mundo 7 // FREE D/L

I’m actually surprised we’re only at number 7…I mean, Javier Estrada is the type of producer that bangs out several tracks a day! His count (of tracks produced by him) is in the thousands, so how are we only at number 7?
I guess the answer is quality. It’s no lie, Javier saves the best tracks for his much lauded Ritmos del Mundo series. In a way, the Ritmos del Mundo series is a kind of ‘best of’ compilation for Javier. Some of the tracks on this collection have already surfaced online, thanks in most part by Javier’s inability to sit on a good track for more than 5 minutes. But this strategy seems to be working. The series itself has garnered Javier a lot of attention, and basically helped pluck him from obscurity to being one of global bass music’s baddest dudes.
Ritmos del Mundo 7, like the 6 versions before it, does not disappoint. Each instalment of the series sheds some light on the kind of music Javier is really loving and taking cues from. This time around, there’s a lot of trap mixed in with the usual pre-hispanic dubstep, cumbia and moombahton. And as always, some big names throw weight behind Javier including A Tribe Called Red, Waya Waya and Mexico’s own electro-rock unit Kinky! And as always – it’s FREE.
