NEW Fauna video released TODAY
Argentina’s Fauna always reminds us of the early days of Dos Mundos. The ZZK Records crew were one of the first to support our little radio show in Canada and we were very happy to host them twice in our city. Both times that ZZK came on tour, we always felt a close kinship to Fauna and we’ve been mega fans of their music from day one.
Their first album ‘La Manito de Fauna’ broke ground for their freaky aesthetics and digi-cumbia beats. Duo Color Kit and Catar_Sys (who tragically passed away last year) made a name for themselves for their wild stage antics and pure jungle cumbia riddims. Now, a second album on ZZK Records ‘Manshines’ is on the way! Recorded shortly before Catar_Sys passed on and features production work from Andres Oddone and Frikstailers and collaborations from fellow ZZK Records alumni El Remolon and Daleduro, the new album should drop some time in the new year and a tour to hit South America in the summer of 2013.
