New Tego Calderon vide released on Vimeo

Legendary MC Tego Calderon dropped a deadly mixtape called The Original Gallo del País - and in a few months it has become a Latin/Urban chart topping release on iTunes and one of the leading digital sales releases (so far) of the year.
It’s one of those mixtapes that remind you why Tego is Tego. Of all the MCs that came out of Puerto Rico’s urban movement, Tego was always that dude that made you pay attention. His flow is street hustler raw with a mobster-charming cadence that slows you down. His rugged look and laid back rhyming set him apart from the pretty-boy, rapid-fire reggaeton MCs that shared stages with him in Puerto Rico. And after a decade of successful releases, huge shows and even movie roles (don’t get me started) Tego is still showing you how it’s done.
Today, Tego released a brand new video, through Vimeo, for ‘El Sitio’ a cut off the new mixtape. The video takes you right to the streets of Santurce, where mixtapes are passed around like drogas, tables are smashed when you got that domino and drive-by rose throwing is an everyday thang….
(Of note, Tego released this through Vimeo first, and if you go to the Vimeo page it’s all done up inna YouTube style, with a social networking side thing I think – I dunno I just logged in 2 minutes ago. News the other day says that the iPhone/iPad was dropping YouTube as an app – and picking up Vimeo….talk amongst yourselves…)
